She Loves Gluten-Free Granola

Larsa has opened up on her diet, also admitting that she has gained weight over the pandemic.

"I start my mornings with a green juice or protein shake to kickstart my metabolism," she dished to the Chicago Sun-Times. "Between meals, I'll munch on my kinds' snacks: fruit mixes, pretzels or gluten-free granola. Lunch is grilled ginger mahi mahi over brown rice and a side of mixed veggies. I let the kids decide on dinner by giving them healthy options. Their favorites are grilled turkey sliders, three-layer cottage cheese lasagna and homemade gluten-free pizza," the Chicago-born star added.

She Doesn't Believe In Fad Diets

Speaking to Hollywood Life, Larsa revealed a unique approach. "I don’t think you can sustain that keto diet or the Atkins Diet,” she said of the popular low-carb diet, adding: “Personally, I don’t feel like those work. For me it’s more it’s more about eating healthy and portion control. That’s the only thing that lasts forever.”

The Mayo Clinic suggests you include "a variety of foods from the major food groups: fruits; vegetables; whole grains; low-fat dairy products and lean protein, including beans and other legumes, nuts and seeds; and healthy fats."

She Believes In A Lifestyle Balance

The mom of four continued: "When you stop doing these diets and you go back to what you normally are used to, you’re going to have the same results that you had before. It’s a lifestyle of balance – eating right, feeling good about yourself, working out for your mind, your body, your soul. It’s all connected.”

She Cooks With Her Kids

Larsa shares four children with NBA player ex Scottie Pippen. Mentioning them, the former BFF to Kim Kardashian stated: “I’m really big on prepping what you eat for the whole week,” adding: “I cook every day for my kids. I have a menu that I draw up [for] all week so I know what we’re gonna eat. If you’re prepared like that you tend to eat healthier, as opposed to not knowing what you’re gonna eat and then you end up eating junk.”

She Indulges In Pies

The workout queen also dished on her cheat foods, ones she bakes herself." I love dessert and I’m known to make pies. Me and my kids make pies like twice a week – apple pie, pumpkin pie. I do cheat, but that’s normal. I’ll just do 10 extra squats that day," she said.
