She Views Competition As Good

Name-dropping sister Brie Bella as she spoke to Muscle & Fitness, the Total Bellas star revealed:

"I’m competitive, but with my sister I feel like what-ever she gets, I get, and I get to enjoy the ride. But don’t get me wrong—if it’s playing beach volleyball or a pick-up game of soccer, no matter who it is, I’m competitive. I always want to win, which can be good or bad, but I look at it as good."

And, more importantly, might we be getting a reboot?

She Stays Balanced With Pasta And Donuts

Despite rigorous training and a high-protein diet, Nikki does allow herself cheat foods.

"My favorite cheat meal is anything that has carbs and sweets. I love sushi, I love pizza, I love pasta, and I am obsessed with doughnuts and dessert. My ultimate cheat meal would be a doughnut with a glass of champagne, pizza or pasta, then some sort of dessert," the mom of one dished.

She Swears By Protein Shakes And Bars

Nikki doesn't just get her protein in the old-fashioned way. Of protein bars and meal replacement shakes, she said: "It was something that was so foreign to me until I joined WWE and saw everyone with their shaker cups."

Nikki added: "When you are always on the go and you are very active, having a protein shake or a protein bar keeps your energy going and keeps your body going, and it’s incredibly healthy. That is something I never knew."

She Loves Celery, Carrots, & PB

Per Women's Health, Nikki snacks on plenty of veggies to pack in her vitamins, but she will throw in some carbs.

“I was loving celery with peanut butter,” she said. "Lately, though, she's all about carrots and fresh guac or graham crackers with fresh cheese."

The Mayo Clinic suggests an ideal balanced diet to include "a variety of foods from the major food groups: fruits; vegetables; whole grains; low-fat dairy products and lean protein, including beans and other legumes, nuts and seeds; and healthy fats."

She Stays Hydrated

Also noting the importance of drinking plenty of water, Nikki states:

"If I want to have a glass of wine at night, then I know there is no dessert. We stay active, so drinking a lot of water and making those modifications and staying active is what keeps us in shape."
