Priyanka Chopra mesmerized her fans with a stunning look, wearing her traditional Indian clothing to celebrate a festive moment. The 39-year-old beauty wowed her 77 million Instagram followers with her incredibly fit body, with her abs out on display.

She Values Her Heritage

The former Miss World values her heritage and often champions Indian fashion and culture in her work and personal life. Priyanka shared snaps from last year's celebration of Diwali - India's biggest holiday. She wore a gorgeous midriff-baring outfit that highlighted her toned waist.

"Happy Diwali eve… love, light and happiness to everyone. Kicking off the festivities with much gratitude and surrounded by love.❤️✨ ," she captioned her Instagram post.

She Loves Swimming

To keep her body fit and strong, Priyanka tries to be active every day. One of her favorite activities to do is swimming. She shared with Vogue that she usually does 10 continuous laps when she's in the water.

"I also love swimming, it’s a full-body workout and I’ll try to do 10 laps continuously,” she said.

Being physically active is important for weight management. According to Mayo Clinic, light to moderate swimming for 1 hour can burn an estimated 423 calories. Aside from burning unwanted calories, aerobic exercises are also good for the heart.

She Knows Her Limits

When it comes to working out at the gym, Priyanka is careful not to push her body too much when she doesn't need to. She has a strong awareness of her limits and knows when it's time to take it easy. Unless she is preparing for a physically demanding role, she likes to keep workouts moderate.

"Honestly, I work out only when I need to. My body responds very quickly to exercise, so I don’t need too long to tone up and get into shape," she explained to Vogue.

She Doesn't Starve Herself

Priyanka's daily diet consists of regular food like vegetables, soups, salads, rice, chapati, and lots of fruits. She eats healthy and avoids oily food but she never starves herself and has no problem indulging in treats on weekends.

"You don't have to starve yourself. I love having my pizzas and burgers and buffalo wings, on the side, for sure. But I like staying fit as well," she told Women's Health.

She Has A Fast Metabolism

She is just blessed with good genes! Priyanka credits her natural body to her Indian genes and metabolism. Thanks to her fast metabolism, she doesn't need to do too much to maintain her body.

"I have great Indian genes!" she admitted to E!. "You know, I'm lazy. I want to take advantage of the fact that I have a great metabolism. When I start getting fat I'll work on it."

Additionally, Priyanka advocates for body positivity. She has previously spoken to Yahoo Life, saying her confidence has nothing to with her body.

"I just try to remind myself that I am loved and I feel good from the inside. I feel confident when I walk into a room and I try to remind myself that that has nothing to do with my body."
