She Has A Special Self-Love Routine

While the two-time Olympian is a fierce role model, she still has moments of weakness. In another Instagram post, Aly shared a special trick she practices whenever she feels anxiety creeping in. She places her hands over her heart and does a little self-love check.

"In moments where I feel anxious I put my hands over my heart space & I check in with my body & mind. Sometimes I have a soft smile on my face. This helps calm me down. It kind of feels like I’m giving myself a hug," she said.

She Drinks Healthy Smoothies

"Smoothies are one of my favorite ways to recover after a workout and this one helps me get the protein my body craves," Aly explained to fans.

To celebrate "National Smoothie Day", she shared one of her favorite recipes for a healthy fruit smoothie.

She blended fresh blueberries, avocado, cinnamon, and plant-based protein milk for her yummy drink.

Blueberries are a superfood that's bursting with vitamins and minerals. According to Mayo Clinic, the antioxidant-rich fruit helps reduces inflammation, increases immune function, and protects the body from diseases.

She Has A Low-Key Beauty Philosophy

For Aly, you don't need to be perfect to be beautiful. She prefers being low-key and simple, letting her natural beauty shine.

"My beauty philosophy is less is more, because I realize that in the gym for gymnastics, I have to be a perfectionist,” Raisman told People. “Outside of the gym, it’s okay to not be perfect. It’s okay to have messy hair. It’s okay to not have a perfectly put-together outfit."

She Doesn't Let Bullies Win

In a candid post, Aly shared painful memories from her past when she was bullied because of her muscular arms. According to the gymnast, she felt so ashamed that she didn't wear tank tops for a long time.

While the words hurt, Aly didn't let her bullies win and went on to become a decorated Olympic figure. She shared her story and finished with an important message for everyone.

"I wanted to write this post to remind you all to be kind to one another and remember your words are powerful. We live in such a judgmental world, and I hope that changes."
