Carrie Underwood surely knows how to maintain her taut body. She does this by following highly effective workout practices. The country singer has also been quite generous in sharing some of her amazing workout plans with fans.

Carrie, who won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, tops the chart when it comes to artists with fit physiques. It is safe to say that the country star takes a holistic approach to staying fit. In one of her many Instagram posts, the Blown Away crooner posed outdoor while seating on the floor in her black and bright blue athleisure.

Underwood styled her blonde tresses into two pigtails while sharing a sweet smile. The singer's limbs looked form as always, inspiring some leg day workout. However, the star had an important fitness tip to share in her caption. She penned:

"When the weather is nice, outdoor workouts are a must!"

She Never Slacks On Working Out

Being a mom and wife and trying to maintain a demanding career has undoubtedly been hectic for Carrie to handle. However, despite her obviously busy schedule, this seven-time Grammy winner creates time for her self-care. Carrie achieved her slender waist, perfectly sculpted arms, and super-toned thighs by dedicating a reasonable amount of time to working out. The If I Didn't Love You singer is quite enthusiastic about keeping fit. She has made health and fitness a priority over the years.

She has also motivated fans by posting pictures from her workout sessions as well as creating an activewear line, Calia. She has also written a fitness book and developed an app to boot. While many workout enthusiasts believe in intense exercises, Carrie believes in keeping things simple. The music star is about making life easier and is uninterested in complicated exercises or diet. In addition to keeping things simple, Carrie is a seasonal workout person, and she only does what her body is in the mood for.

She Uses Tools 

While most people can not do their exercise without going to the gym or using the assigned tools for each exercise style, Carrie does a lot of improvising. Once speaking about her fitness routine in an interview, Carrie said,

"I've become an expert at working out with nothing! I'm great at putting things together and thinking."

Carrie went on to explain that she uses any household tool she finds for her exercises, provided that it is suitable. For someone who travels a lot, Carrie revealed that improvising has been very helpful as she can do her workouts wherever she finds herself. That aside, when working out, Carrie focuses on strength.

The singer revealed that seeing her muscles develop makes her feel good. However, apart from looking good, strength-based exercises help reduce body fat, and Mayo Clinic has confirmed, "Want to reduce body fat, increase lean muscle mass and burn calories more efficiently? Strength training to the rescue! Strength training is a key component of overall health and fitness for everyone."

She Knows The Benefits Of Healthy Eating Habits 

Carrie has had her stunning body since her time on American Idol, and her body still looks even more incredible than it did over 15 years ago. However, she has become more toned in recent years, and while this is partly due to her effective workout routine, her diet greatly contributed to her perfect shape. Speaking about her healthy lifestyle in an interview with The List, Carrie revealed that she was in "a bottomless pit" regarding consumption, but she changed this habit by keeping a food journal which helps keep her eating habits in check. Carrie has been monitoring her eating habits for a long time.

She has been vegan since discovering the benefits of a plant-based diet. While the physical advantages of being vegan were one thing that attracted Carrie, she is also concerned about where her food is coming from. The Champion singer always wants to know how healthy her food is, so she has a webcam wherever food is processed.

She Doesn't Skip The Important Meal

Carrie is notably focused on keeping fit, but she also knows the advantages of every meal of the day. She revealed in an interview that her typical breakfast is made up of tofu scramble with chopped peppers, onions, some salsa, and toast. She also mixes things up a bit and sometimes has a vanilla smoothie with pea protein powder, half a banana, a cup of berries, almond milk, and ice for her morning meal.

For lunch, Carrie mostly has green-based sandwiches, sometimes, she does a stir fry with broccoli, carrots, broccoli slaw, fake chicken, and onions. When it is snack time, the country singer opts for an English muffin with peanut butter, and for dinner, veggies are a compulsory combo with any delicacy.
