Kate Beckinsale is taking her exercises to the next level in an Instagram video that shows an upside-down workout move. The Underworld star remains to be one of the hottest leading ladies in the industry, with a still-incredible figure and timeless beauty.

She Does Upside-Down Sit-Ups

To elevate her workout when regular sit-ups aren't enough, Kate loves to challenge herself with intense exercises. She showed off her core strength in a gravity-defying video that left her fans awestruck and wanting a new Underworld movie.

While at the gym, Kate decided to have a little fun at the monkey bars. The actress hung upside down and did several sit-ups so effortlessly, proving that her strength is unmatched at 48 years old.

She Exercises With Battle Ropes

Aside from impressive aerial sit-ups, Kate also does hanging leg raises and battle rope sessions, which are both great for strength-training and sculpting the muscles.

In an old Instagram post, Kate shared how she executes these difficult exercises to perfection. The exercise series featured Kate doing leg raises while hanging on gym equipment, followed by battle ropes and then ending with a deep stretch.

She Doesn't Use Her Phone At The Gym

She is on a strict workout schedule at the gym, according to fitness trainer Brad Siskind of Gunnar Gym. As Siskind told Women's Health, Kate is so focused when she is working out that phones and breaks are not an option for a whole hour.

"Because of her extensive skill set she built during her action movie career, she brings the same laser focus in the gym,’ he says. ‘She busts her butt for the whole hour. No phone. No breaks. We work and I love that about her!’"

She Keeps Her Muscles Flexible

People were so shocked to see Kate's flexibility that many thought she was using a fake leg in her stretching videos. The actress explained on an appearance on The Tonight Show that she danced ballet as a kid, which is why she is so flexible.

I've always been like that," she said. "I did a lot of ballet when I was a kid and now I can cause worry about a fake leg. That's really all I've got."

Stretching is an important part of the exercise, says Mayo Clinic. Stretching the muscles after a workout session helps boost muscle blood flow and makes your joints healthier.

She Massages Her Face With Oil

Skincare is an important part of her wellness routine as well. Kate shared via Du Jour that she uses oil to keep her face moisturized and glowing.

"I’m a really big fan of face oil; that is my recent discovery,” she said. “So you get a really nice oil, and after you take your makeup off, you massage it into your face; then you do five rinses with warm water, and then five rinses with cold water.”
