She Practices Intermittent Fasting

Jessie allows her body to enter ketosis, where the body starts burning fat as energy - she achieves this by intermittent fasting.

"There are some weeks when I'm following more of a strict diet because I have something coming up," she told Women's Health. "But, you know, for the most part, I'm always enjoying food and I always say 'everything in moderation' on a day-to-day basis."

"I eat what I want to eat within that time frame but don't overdo it," she added, also revealing following the 18:6 schedule.

She Cooks Home Meals

Jessie is big into cooking her own meals, this as she dines with her husband Eric Decker and the couple's three kids.

"When you're cooking at home and you know what you're putting in your food, I don't think you have to be that strict. I don't always think it needs to be grilled chicken over greens. A lot of times I make my homemade pasta so I know what's going in the pasta. It's not that challenging and it's worth it," Jessie continued.

She Buys Frozen From Trader Joe's

The busy mom of three also revealed shopping in the frozen aisle, adding that she loves Trader Joe's. "They are so good if I don't have time to make myself lunch. I get the Indian curry or butter chicken and rice meals, and they are so delicious and filling. I have stashes of them in the freezer in the garage. I never want to run out," she said.

She Doesn't Stress About Baby Weight

Speaking to E! News, the Just Feed Me Author dished on her mentalities, overall.

"I always tell mothers, like, that should be the last thing on your mind," she said.

"After you have a baby, please do not think about trying to lose weight. Just feed your baby. Love on your baby. You have a newborn. Your body is trying to heal. You will know when your body is ready. Don't listen to your brain telling you, 'Lose weight, lose weight.' You'll know when you physically feel like, 'Okay, I feel like I'm ready to kind of have that energy and can run around.'"

She Loves Protein

Jessie is a huge fan of protein shakes. The Mayo Clinic states:

"Most research suggests very active people should eat 1.2 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. That means a 150-pound person should eat 82 to 136 grams each day. People who aren't active should eat less protein. Aim for .8 grams per kilogram of body weight each day."
