She Takes Care Of Her Body

To keep her body snackable and bikini-ready, Priyanka makes sure that her body gets the proper care and nourishment it needs. She told The Times of India that while she values taking care of her body, she doesn't necessarily want to shrink her size. She works out more for strength and not aesthetics.

"I am not a gym-freak, but do work out regularly to keep the body well-toned. The idea is to keep fit and healthy and not shrink myself by two or three sizes."

She Enjoys Skipping Rope

Aside from her regular strength training exercises, she also throws in fun cardio workouts like skipping rope. It's an activity that she enjoyed as a kid and as an adult, she has also incorporated it into her cardio training.

"I love skipping. I learnt it really well in school and then I learnt it even better during Mary Kom, so I try to get my cardio in by skipping. It’s easy to carry, you have your skipping rope in your bag, it’s easy to do," she shared in a video interview.

She Doesn't Starve Herself

When it comes to dieting, Priyanka is a fan of just "winging it". As she told Elle, she doesn't really follow a strict diet regimen and still gets to enjoy burgers and pizza from time to time.

"I don't really have a diet. I wing it by the seat of my pants. It's such a girl thing to do, like if I feel, "Ughh, I put on a few pounds" and I feel gross about [myself] I suddenly start eating salad, protein, and soup. Otherwise, if I am feeling like I am in great shape I am okay with cheeseburgers and pizza."

She Is Game To Eat Exotic Food

Not only is she cool and casual about her diet, but she is also game to eat exotic food. In the same interview, Priyanka shared a story about the craziest food she ate - fried worms, which she bravely tasted during a UNICEF trip in Zimbabwe.

"They're fried worms. I just was so shocked when they were on the table and I had to be a good sport. I ate one and chewed it for like a minute and a half and [felt] the crunch of the legs in my mouth. It was crazy and insane, but I did it. It was one of my achievements."

She Sunbathes With Protection

Priyanka loves to lounge under the sun, whether she is at home by the pool or on a beach trip with family. She always makes sure she has sunscreen on to keep her skin protected.

According to Hopkins Medicine, wearing sunscreen is one of the best ways to protect your skin's appearance. Experts recommend using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 for day-to-day use and SPF 60 when you are outdoors.

She Prefers Staying In Over Going Out

She enjoys simple moments and chilling at home with her family. As she told Times of India, she would rather hang out with her family at home than go out to party.

"I am quite a family person by nature and would rather spend time at home with them, than party out. Chilling at home watching a nice movie gives me as much joy as shooting round the clock does."

She Believes In 'Mind Over Matter'

In her Women's Health cover story, Priyanka shared her philosophy about taking control of her emotions. She believes in the "mind over matter" principle and this has helped her maintain a positive outlook in life.

"People always say you should listen to your body. But, I don't listen to my body. My body listens to me. I can't afford to be sick or low on energy. It's mind over matter: I'm going to have a good day, and not in that fake 'Happy girls are the best girls!' way.’ Tell yourself you’re going to feel good and you likely will."
