She Accepts Her Responsibilities

Now that she's in her thirties, Vanessa is showing the perspective she's gained. "I remember waking up at 27 and that was the first moment where I was like, 'Oh. I am not a kid. I'm not a teenager. I'm an adult and I have responsibilities.' I felt like I had no idea who I was or what I wanted or what I was going after," she told People. The actress added: "I'm very grateful for it because then it forced me to reassess who I am and what I believe in, therefore giving me just a better understanding of myself."

She Drinks Plenty Of Water

Vanessa knows good hydration. "Drink a lot of water, and also to take care of your mind. I think a lot of people get really stuck on trying to fix their bodies to be a certain way, but if your mental health isn't at a place where you can love yourself, the whole thing's pointless," she shared with The Cut.

"Most healthy people can stay hydrated by drinking water and other fluids whenever they feel thirsty. For some people, fewer than eight glasses a day might be enough. But other people might need more," The Mayo Clinic advises. The site adds: "Your body loses fluids when you have a fever, vomiting or diarrhea. Drink more water or follow a doctor's recommendation to drink oral rehydration solutions."

She Eats Fats

Vanessa is all about balance, and that includes her diet. "I need high fats," she has revealed, adding: "If I'm not getting enough, my body holds on to calories. We've been trained to think that fats are bad, but they're so good—a source of energy and sustenance that keeps you going through the day. That's the only way I can not eat carbs."

She Likes Real Food

Packaged and processed don't rank too highly for the former Disney star. "My overall food philosophy is, if it's real, I'll eat it. Many things are processed and contain chemicals and ingredients I can't pronounce. I want real food. If I'm in Italy, and I see them making pasta by hand, or if it grows from the earth, that's real. I stay away from the processed stuff," she has revealed.

She Likes Pilates And Soul Cycle

Vanessa can pair her workouts. "Some days when I have the time, I love doing Pilates first and then going over to Soul Cycle. I love a double up!" she's said.
