Emilia Clarke left one big series and is joining another massive franchise as she makes her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. The former Khaleesi in Game of Thrones traded her Dragons for a gun as she becomes a badass agent in the upcoming Secret Invasion series alongside her idols - Samuel L. Jackson and Olivia Coleman.

She couldn't contain her excitement when sharing the news after the D23 Expo. Clarke said she was as starstruck as regular fans watching them on the screen.

Joining The MCU

"Jeeeze Louise, Marvel let me into their world…Their world that includes SAMUEL L FREAKING JACKSON! OLIVIA COLEMAN! BEN MENDELSOHN! Can’t believe they let me and my star struckness near this much talent, I also can’t believe I managed to get words out without dissolving into a fangurl. But here we are, and I really think you’re gonna like it.. I sure do."

If those cap locks didn't convey Clarke's excitement, then the exclamation marks definitely did the job.

Behind The Scenes

The actress would be a Skrull (shapeshifting alien race) who becomes an Earth agent during the "Secret Invasion." Regardless of her role, seeing the 5'2" actress wield a weapon and be a badass is enough to sell her fans the idea of the series.

Although they aren't firebreathing dragons, her weapons do the job all the same. Clarke's a real-life sweetheart apart from the tough nuts she's had to portray on screen, and her almost 27 million Instagram followers know that.

How She Spends Free-Time

Last summer, Clarke shared a funny post of herself struggling to climb a rocky wall in a pantsuit and block-heeled shoes. She made fun of herself and had her cameraman capture the moment.

Alternatively, the actress meditates when set life becomes overwhelming as it often does. A few moments of getting Zen before continuing makes a world of difference for her.

Performing In Theater

Although many people don't know, Clarke also acts in theatre, and she's returning on stage with her former GOT co-star, Indira Varma, and other talented actors for The Seagull. Although the critics' reviews weren't great, Clarke thanked her friends, family, and fans for coming out to watch the show. An excerpt of what she wrote,

"I can’t begin to describe what a life altering piece of work this has been, I am a different human than when this process began and it is with a heavy heart..."
