Aubrey Plaza Recreates 'Basic Instinct' In White Mini Dress

For the promo photos of her first-ever SNL performance, Aubrey did several glam looks, which she proudly shared on Instagram.

On the cover photo of the carousel post, she is wearing a skimpy white halter mini dress and sitting cross-legged on a chair, doing the iconic pose popularized by Sharon Stone.

Fans were mesmerized by her look and even Selena Gomez dropped a compliment for her friend. "You’re so beautiful," Gomez wrote in the comments.

Not only was Aubrey's SNL hosting hilarious, she also looked so good while doing it. For her monologue, the actress wore a tight-fitting sparkly black dress that effortlessly showcased her amazing figure, hugging the natural curves of her body.

In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Aubrey revealed that she had auditioned for the show but was rejected. She also told the story of how she had interned for the team.

“They loved me because I did not care about set design at all, and they wanted an intern that had no interest in learning what they did,” she said.

Continuing her SNL audition experience, Aubrey shared that she made up a character - a sexy Puerto Rican reporter, which didn't really impress anyone.

“I remember one character I did was like a Puerto Rican news reporter that was always trying to make all of the news stories sexy, even if they were horrific news stories. I was just trying to like, sex up the news or something.”

Her SNL audition may have failed but she still found her path to success. She has also definitely found her style! At last year's Oscars, Aubrey looked stunning in a black plunging dress with a low back and high slit.

"Um.. excuse me miss.... I dropped my jaw can you help me! 🔥," a fan commented on her Instagram pics featuring the gorgeous look.

Aubrey received an Emmy nomination for her role as Harper Spiller on the highly acclaimed HBO series. Her portrayal of the complex character has earned her not only a nod from the Emmys but also a cult following from fans who found her relatable.

When asked about her thoughts on what happened to Harper and Ethan, she told Variety:

“I was really gunning for doing some takes where maybe we weren’t so happy. Maybe they’ll be okay. But I have a kind of fantasy that Harper divorces him and takes all his money.”
