Salma Hayek Outshining BFF Penelope Cruz In Birthday Bikini Post

Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz met on the set of 2006 film "Bandidas", where they starred together. That was 15 years ago! Despite busy schedules, the two somehow managed to stay friends.

They've been spending so much time together that some fans even think that they're starting to look alike.

Last year, Salma shared a photo of her feeding her BFF during the Oscars. Apparently, they were both so hungry, so they snacked on caviar.

"You actually look like each other ❤️", one fan commented.

They're so close that they even have pet names for each other!

In an interview with Allure magazine back in 2014, Salma shared that they call each other "huevos".

"We call each other huevos [eggs]. It was because when we were working together, we didn't have children yet, so we used to sleep much more than now. So it was a way to call each other lazy."

To show some love for her bestie on her birthday, Salma posted side-by-side photos of her and Penelope. They were both wearing white bikinis and looking extra hot on the pics!

"Women in white, still celebrating the magnificent Penelope Cruz who had her birthday yesterday!", Salma captioned her throwback photo.

Penelope gave back some love with a heart-filled reply:

"❤️❤️❤️❤️😍", she wrote in the comments.

The two latinas were both gorgeous in Salma's bikini birthday post but some followers could not help but compare them and even accuse Salma of trying to outshine her friend.

"Shouldn’t you post a pic of JUST her?😂", a follower commented.

"Love you both, but are you celebrating her birthday or seizing an opportunity to show off your body? Highlight love and friendship, not hotness and the male gaze", someone else pointed out.

Despite the criticisms, there is no love lost between the two. Salma was probably trying to spice things up! For sure, these "huevos" will remain friends for decades to come!
