Dove Cameron Opens Up About Being Queer For Gay Times Magazine

Dove Cameron is queer and proud!

The Disney alum has been featured in the summer issue of Gay Times magazine and she got candid about her sexuality.

Cameron also looked hot on the cover of the magazine, where she was wearing a simple white sports bra while laying down on a plastic surface.

In the feature, she boldly talks about why she came out as queer and how she is living life as her true self.

Bisexual Queen

While this is Dove's first LGBTQ+ feature, this is not the first time she has talked about her sexuality.

She first opened up about her sexuality last year on Instagram Live.

"I went on Instagram Live and said 'Guys, I really needed to explain something to you. Maybe I haven't said it, but I'm super queer. This is something I want to represent through my music because it's who I am," she explained.

She has also tweeted about her sexuality several times in the past years.

And, more importantly, might we be getting a reboot?

Bubbles Come Through!

Cameron's honesty has brought her even closer to her fans. She has gained more followers and her career is thriving as well.

The actress was cast as Bubbles for CW's live-action series "Powerpuff Girls". The upcoming show was initially highly anticipated but had received major backlash after the unimpressive costumes were photographed.

Unfortunately, the show's debut will be delayed because the pilot needs to be re-shot. CW execs confirmed that the pilot episode was not up to par and they will have to rework some things.

"I'm Choosing To Love Myself"

In Dove's Gay Times feature, she got candid about feeling afraid to spell out her sexuality for the public in the past.

She also says that she decided not to compromise her identity any longer and just lived her true and authentic self.

Some of the celebrities who inspired her to come out includes Kristen Stewart, Ben Platt and Cara Delevingne.

"With the process of coming out, it was about who I am as a whole rather than who I choose to date or sleep with. I'm choosing to love myself, to be who I am every day and not edit myself depending on the room that I'm in. I'm making no apologies for who I am", Cameron said.

Crying At CVS

We're not sure if it's the revealing interview or the failed pilot episode that got her in the feels but Dove is feeling kind of down right now.

She just shared a photo of her self crying at CVS while buying crayons and a coloring book.

"reminder to take care of yourself whatever that means to you today & that it is ok to cry at cvs🫀🩹🧸", Dove wrote on the caption.

Her fans were quick to give her some love on the comments:

"God, I really want to give Dove a hug... 🖤", one fan wrote.

"I’m so proud of you for putting yourself first and listening to your mind and soul 🥺", another fan said.
