Nastia Liukin Gets Skinny-Shamed In Barbie Girl Look

Nastia Liukin is feeling herself in a super cute Barbie-inspired look but some people are bursting her bubble!

Dressed in a pink polka dotted mini dress, the ex-gymnast showed off her figure and long legs on Instagram, where she has over 1 million followers.

While fans loved her Barbie look, there were some who thought she was getting too skinny! Nastia didn't let the body-shaming comment slip and quickly responded.

'Chicken Legs'

This is not the first time Nastia received online hate for her body.

Last year, Nastia also got body-shamed on Instagram. Some followers threw harsh words her way, saying she had "gross chicken legs" and that she was "promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies".

The gymnast, however, had the perfect clapback for her haters. She reminded them exactly who she was and what she has done.

"Unclear if you're trying to be hurtful or what, but these "gross skinny chicken legs" helped me win an olympic gold medal, huh?", she said in her Instagram story.

She's An Olympian

Just a reminder: Nastia is a professional athlete and she has won several gold medals in the Olympics, which means she is a boss, regardless of what she looks like!

She has defended herself from online body shamers before. In an old post, she said:

"If taking pictures of my OWN body — a body that won me many Olympic medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me — is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we've gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive."

Barbie Girl

A couple of days ago, Nastia shared photos of herself wearing a pink polka dot mini dress paired with black high heels. She posed against a pink wall and captioned the photo:

"currently playing: not your barbie girl, by ava max 👱🏼‍♀️"

Her look was definitely inspired by the iconic character and she was feeling cute in the photos too.

However, a fan pointed out that her legs were looking a little too skinny in the pics.

I'm Doing Fine, Thanks!

Nastia quickly replied to the comment and explained that there was no reason for concern because she's doing fine!

"andrea, I’m doing just fine, thank you for your concern tho! sending you love. xo", she tagged the critic.

The same fan also responded to Nastia's reply and there were no hard feelings on both sides!

"If you say so and you feel good and healthy, then that’s what matters. I will always remember your beautiful lines as a gymnast. You were truly unique. Take care 💗", she wrote.
