Inside Olivia Culpo's Heartbreaking Split From Nick Jonas

Unfortunately for fans hoping Culpo and Jonas would get back together, Nick Jonas, 28, has actually been married to actress and Miss World 2000 winner Priyanka Chopra since 2018.

Although the pair insisted they were “just friends” after they met at the Met Gala in 2017, Jonas attended several of Chopra’s family parties in 2018, and the two were married in a Hindu ceremony in December of that year. Although they had a whirlwind romance, Jonas said that he knew that Chopra was “the one” even before they started dating.

"It's just that magical connection you've got with somebody when it's right,” Jonas said. We're very lucky. We knew each other well before we started dating properly, and I think that foundation as friends always helps in relationships that have evolved in an organic way. It's been a wild first couple of years of marriage, and I'm very blessed to have a life partner that I can rely on, and vice versa hopefully."

Culpo seems like she might be moving towards marriage herself.

The “Sports Illustrated” swimsuit model recently called herself “the luckiest girl in the world” in an Instagram post celebrating her two-year anniversary with Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey.

The match is made even more ironic considering her sister, model Sophia Culpo, is dating New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios.

When the Panthers were set to take on the Jets, Sophia took to social media to write, “Uhhhh can we still sit together @oliviaculpo???” to which Culpo answered with, “Since Braxton and Christian are competing, I challenge you to a thumb war.”

Although the pair have been dating since July 2019, the romance almost didn’t happen.

Culpo had been a part of an on-and-off-again relationship with NFL receiver Danny Amendola in 2018, although the relationship quickly fizzled out after Amendola posted an expletive-filled rant on Instagram, calling Culpo “f—ked up.”

“Olivia chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money,” he wrote. “Which was hard for me to understand but quickly had to learn. Where as [sic] the cost of fame in this world doesn’t appeal to me. I play ball for one reason and that’s RESPECT.”

After that experience, Culpo admitted that she was hesitant to date another athlete. During an Instagram Live interview, she admitted that her friends “were like, 'Olivia, there's this guy you really have to meet him.' And I was like, 'No, I'm not dating an athlete. I really just don't think that's the right move for me. Bad history there. Let's just — turn.'”

Fortunately, the pair seemed to instantly connect, and enjoy traveling together. They frequently post pictures of their traveling adventures on each other’s Instagram accounts, and recently took a romantic weekend together in upstate New York.

“Chasing sunsets w you,” Culpo captioned the pic, along with a photo of the couple smooching as the sun set in the background behind them.

After celebrating their two-year anniversary together on June 22, 2021, Culpo took to Instagram to write, “I wuv you Christian! Happy anniversary. You are the hardest worker with the biggest heart. Getting to see you work your butt off every single day to make your dreams come true has been such an inspiration to me and your sincerity in everything you do makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
