The Surprising Reason You Never Hear About The Olsen Twins

After putting their acting careers behind them, the Olsen twins, 34, became heavily invested in the fashion industry.

Together, they founded “The Row” in 2006: a luxe, minimalist brand that has been nominated for, and won, several high-profile awards, including Womenswear Designer of the Year and Accessories Designer of the Year.

The company has put out several coveted products, including its signature Ascot bag, which features a piece of silk knotted into a hammock shape that sells for around $1,000 dollars.

The fashion label focuses on “exceptional fabrics, impeccable details, and precise tailoring” to combine “a timeless perspective with subtle attitudes which form an irreverent classic signature.”

Although the Olsen twins are notoriously private, their dating lives still fall into the public eye. Ashley Olsen has been dating artist Louis Eisner for the past few years, although very few details have been revealed about their relationship.

Mary-Kate Olsen has been married to French banker Olivier Sarkozy, 50, for the past five years, although she recently filed an emergency divorce order in 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to one source, one of the main reasons for their split was over the decision to have children. Sarkozy has two grown children with wife Charlotte Bernard and allegedly did not want to have any more children, while Olsen did.

Even though the Olsen twins have retired from acting, their younger sister Elizabeth Olsen still has a strong acting career.

After appearing in blockbusters like “Godzilla” and “Silent House,” Olsen eventually scored the role of Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel “Avengers” franchise, culminating in a successful run of the Disney Plus series, “WandaVision,” which was met with critical acclaim.

The series finale led into the beginning of the sequel to “Doctor Strange,” appropriately titled “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” in which Olsen will feature alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange himself.

The Olsen family really values their privacy. In 2020, Elizabeth Olsen deleted her Instagram account, and the Olsen twins have stayed off of social media entirely.

Although they have tried to stay out of the spotlight, that doesn’t mean that the Olsen twins have avoided all high-profile events. They often attend fashion events, like the 2020 Met Gala, to show off the latest style trends.

Although they seem to have retired from acting, it’s good to see that their fashion career is still going strong.
