Much has been said about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and how their exit from the Royal Family, or should we say royal duties, hurt the image of the family on the whole.

A lot has happened since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex renounced their titles, including the birth of another child for the couple, this time, a girl.

But has Meghan Markle truly recovered from the ordeal that was her royal life? Or does she still bear some of those scars. Scroll to find out.

In the explosive interview with Oprah, Meghan confessed that royal life and all the stress it brought drove her to suicidal thoughts.

Said the ertswhile Duchess, "Look, I was really ashamed to say it at the time and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry especially, because I know how much loss he has suffered, but I knew that if I didn't say it, then I would do it. I just didn't want to be alive anymore."

And this was while she was expecting her firstborn, Archie.

In the interview, the couple also revealed how before the birth of their firstborn, Archie, questions were raised about the skin color, and how dark the baby was going to be.

Its not wonder that Markle was depressed especially since the couple was also told that their baby would not have security, or a title.

The conversations were between unnamed members of the royal family and Prince Harry, and it was he who relayed all this to Meghan, much to her shock and distress.

Why Was Meghan Not Allowed To Seek Help?

In the same interview, Markle even claimed that as soon as she became part of the royal family, her car keys and passport were taken away.

The royal advisors did not "allow" her to go seek mental help for all the stress, and if that were the case, why could not Prince Harry have gotten her the help needed? The answer lies in the royal rules, although their love proved much stronger.

He claims that she did not end her life because she knew the loss he had suffered and did not want him to echo that pain again. But is Meghan truly okay now?

Perhaps being on home ground, and away from all the stress that came with being a royal has been a balm to Meghan's soul.

The second pregnancy, which has resulted in a little girl, Lilibet Diana, seems to have made Meghan glow again, and this times the smile do not seem forced.

Was a little distance from it all truly what Meghan needed? It seems the rift in the royal family remains wide, with Prince Harry not being on the greatest of terms with Prince Charles and his brother, Prince William.

We only hope that Meghan and Harry are able to find happiness in the midst of this strife.
