She Says Add Veg To Everything

"I think one of the most transformative things that I've done is making 50 per cent of what I eat vegetable matter. If you have a slice of toast for breakfast, have an apple too. Counteract everything with vegetables," she added. The Mayo Clinic advises plenty of vegetable consumption, stating:

"One particular group of vegetables known as cruciferous contains a potent phytochemical called sulforaphane. Research surrounding this phytochemical has shown it to be a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which aids in the prevention and treatment of several types of cancer. In addition, some studies show a correlation between consuming vegetables high in this phytochemical with a reduction in depression, improved pain management, reduction in obesity and improved conditions related to cardiovascular disease."

She Likes Simple Food

Speaking to The Cut about keeping things simple, the Elizabeth Hurley Beach founder dished:

"I like simple, natural, easy food. I don’t really like food with a lot of chemicals or additives. When I’m at home in the country, I always try and eat food that’s grown locally."

"All through summer we eat fruit and vegetables from my own garden. I used to have a small organic farm, and all the meat my son ate was from the farm," she continued.

She Says 'Appreciate' What You've Got

Hurley's grandmother died from breast cancer. The star noted that health is a privilege, also telling The Cut: "If you hear that someone is sick, you appreciate your health. If you hear something bad happened to someone, you’re glad it didn’t happen to you or your loved ones. There are many ways to appreciate what you’ve got."

She's 360 With Her Health

Linking the body and the mind, the ex to Hugh Grant confirmed her philosophies, stating: "It means being as healthy as you can in your lifestyle and as healthy as you can emotionally. You need to balance both. Of course it’s important to eat well and exercise. It’s also really important to look after yourself emotionally."
