She Focuses On Her Nutrition Game

As an athlete, eating healthy is very essential. Brooke topped her nutrition game when she signed with Macrostax on their nutrition program. Macrostax is an all-in-one nutrition app that focuses on macro-counting and sustainable eating. She commended the diet experts for aligning her training, lifestyle, and diet.

According to Morning Chalkups, When preparing for competitions, she eats oatmeal, protein-based food, and fruits. In addition, she eats crabs to boost her performance. Brooke shared:

"Once I started incorporating crabs, I was actually the leanest I had ever been and I haven't looked back since. I will forever eat a diet full of crabs, athlete or not."

Mayo Clinic states," Carbohydrates get a bad rap with some protein. But research over the past 50 years has shown that crabs help your body during long and high-intensity exercise. In fact, the more active you are, the more crabs you need."

She Focuses On Mental Training

Brooke's advice on mental health was to talk to yourself instead of listening alone. This was to avoid the voice of discouragement from whispering into the ears. She also listed six ways to fuel the heart with encouragement.

It included being careful of how you talk to yourself, the things you visualize, the content you watch, what you read, and listen to, and those you surround yourself with. Another mental training tip she gave was to encourage people to believe that whatever happened to them was in their best interest, which can turn their challenges into opportunities.

She Tries New Things

During the pandemic, Wells had to make changes that helped her in the competitive season. She moved to Nashville, TN, where she began training out of CrossFit Trivium and had some new training partners who she enjoyed training with.

She also switched to Shane Orr's coaching under PRVN Fitness. These changes resulted in some fantastic benefits in becoming a better athlete, and she expressed her optimistic attitude towards the year.

She Is Steadfast With CrossFit Workouts

A peek at some CrossFit workouts showed it involved a couple of squat warm-ups. First was a 45-second bike, then 8 Kang squats with an empty bar which was great at opening up the hips and preparing hamstrings, then 15 banded squats. Followed by back squats and struck handstand push-ups.
