Kaia Gerber In Bathing Suit Plays Chess

Backed by a gorgeous seascape, the daughter of Cindy Crawford looked every inch the fashionista in a black string two-piece accessorized with a layered Boho necklace. In the caption, Gerber let fans know she's got expert help at learning her chess moves, adorably writing, "paw to queen four."

The catwalk queen, who started fostering pups from the Labelle Foundation during quarantine, per Vogue, adopted Milo from the same non-profit organization back in July 2020. "Thank you @thelabellefoundation for finding me the perfect forever cuddle buddy & the best friend a girl could ask for," she wrote on Instagram at the time next to a bikini selfie of herself snuggling the puppy.

Since then, Milo has proven to be the cutest sidekick, regularly gracing his mom's feed. Ever the good boy, he's become a huge part of Gerber's book club updates, another activity she picked up during quarantine. Swipe for a cute selfie of the two together!

"I know we are all feeling isolated right now, so I was trying to think of easy ways we can stay connected (beyond just scrolling) and decided I’m gonna start a book club," she reached out to her fanbase in March 2020. "I read a lot on my own, but would love to be able to talk to you guys about it."

Gerber is not only an avid reader, she also loves writing and has been journaling for years. "People of my generation don’t really use pen and paper, but I do. Even when I’m traveling I always bring a notebook with me, and I don’t think I’ll ever give that up," she told Byrdie back in 2019.

Journaling is great for digging deeper into one's thoughts and feelings and has proven benefits in alleviating stress and anxiety. "It is a method that encour­ages you to slow down, pay attention, and think about what is going on in your life – and your feelings and reactions to these happenings," states the Cleveland Clinic, noting that "journaling is a healthy and positive way to face your emotions."

Whenever she's not got her nose buried in a book or notebook, Gerber devotes her time to her family. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, the model dubbed her parents and older brother Presley her "weekend squad:" "We love to go for a morning beach bike ride, but we usually have to wait for Presley to wake up because he’s the late sleeper in the family."

To say that she's close with her folks is an understatement. The 20-year-old simply idolizes her mom, frequently gushing about her in interviews. "I’ve always tried to be more like her," she said. "I’ve always looked up to her in the way that she hasn’t let anything in the business affect her. In my eyes, she’s the coolest, nicest person in the world.

Her passions also extend to the culinary field, with the runway model being a total foodie. Her greatest weakness? Pasta!

"I don’t go a day without eating pasta," she shared. "Penne with vodka sauce is my all-time favorite and is actually one of the things I know how to prepare myself. It’s very important to know how to make pasta because you can do it anywhere in the world. It’s easy, it’s fast, and everyone likes it."
