Danica Patrick, who is known for her amazing skills in car racing, extended her love for the sport by participating in the annual Boston Marathon marathon race hosted by several cities and towns in greater Boston. She shared details of her activities ahead of the big day on social media and many fans could not get over her fit physique.

She Flaunts Her Shapely Long Legs On Social Media

  

Danica got many social media users talking when she posted a set of photos of herself on Instagram as she prepared to race across the streets of Boston. In the first image posted, Danica, the most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel car racing showed off her firm long legs as she sat outdoors on the grass.

The 40-year-old former car racer posed for selfies in a blue face cap, tank top, and black shorts. Danica's image got over 16, 000 likes and hundreds of lovely comments from viewers.

She Has A 'Pretty Intense' Lifestyle 

 

Known for her remarkable impact on the sport of NASCAR and Indy racing, Danica extended her career by creating a book about fitness/health/ diet. As an athlete who has been involved in sports almost all her life, Danica, gathered all her experience in creating "Pretty Intense," which gives detailed information about how to exercise. According to Chicago Suntimes, Danica wrote that she started Pretty Intense in 2016, after IVF treatment to freeze her eggs.

Before she began her journey, she had been finding it difficult to lose weight because the weight gain hormone treatment she took would not dissipate no matter how much she worked out. That was when she decided she needed a new plan. Pretty Intense is centered on exercises including upper body, lower body, abs workouts, three interval cardio sessions, and one long circuit. According to Danica one only needs 20 minutes for each workout.

She Advises Two Rest Days A Week

 

Danica wrote extensively about seven workouts which one is advised to do five days every week in her self-care book. The piece, which also centers on eating right and getting one's mind and body in shape, suggests three cardio workouts, for at least 20 to 25 minutes. Three strength workouts for 20 minutes, and one long circuit for about 45 minutes. Danica's exercise style takes 20 minutes in the morning or 20 minutes in the evening which can easily fit into one's schedule.

The athlete advises readers to stay committed because getting the angles, thighs, and abs one desires depends on intensity. Mayo Clinic also confirmed, "Exercising at the correct intensity can help you get the most out of your physical activity — making sure you're not pushing too hard or too little."

She Eats Food Filled With Protein And Greens 

 

Danica was introduced to the world of sports at a very young age. The professional racing driver got involved in go-karting at the age of 10. She also dabbled in snowmobiles, motocross, and midget car racing. For someone who constantly has to take note of her body and lifestyle in general, Danica has since mastered what to eat. She follows a Paleo-style diet, which is Coca-Cola excepted. The athlete's meal plan typically contains protein and greens, and she eats almost every 3 hours. She starts her day with a kale smoothie or chia seed pudding at breakfast. She enjoys a hash made from lean ground meat and has drawers in her fridge dedicated to cheese and spinach.

She Doesn't Deny Herself Of Sweet Treats

When Danica wants something sweet, she opts for her Nature’s Bakery brand which makes non-GMO, dairy-free, soy-free baked goods with organic whole grains, fruits, and veggies. These choices of treats help her stay on track with her diet.

Cutting down on sugar is also pretty easy. According to Fitness Clone, all Danica does is put a third of a banana or a quarter of an apple in her green smoothies. She also adds spinach, kale, hemp seeds, maca, chia seeds, and coconut to her smoothies. All these, coupled with constant workouts have helped maintain Danica's fit stature for years.
